Howa 1500 Rifles Featuring The .22-250 Remington Caliber

Hunters alike love the .22-250 Remington cartridge, a high-velocity .22 caliber rifle primarily used for hunting of small game and varmint. Sometimes refered to as the 22 Varminter or the 22 Wotkyns Original Swift, the .22-250 began as a wildcat cartridge developed from the .250 Savage case necked down to take a .224 caliber bullet. Used by Howa firearms, for the Howa 1500 Rifles, the .22-250 Remington is generally cheaper to shoot, the powder load is smaller, contributin to longer barrel life, important for high-volume shooters. In the Howa Guns field, the .22-250 is particularly popular in the western states of the US, high winds often hinder other varmint rounds. Prairie dog hunting is the most popular use out west for the Howa hunters.
